Evolution Arts Critical Writing Blog

Critical Writing Blog

http://evolutionartsreview.blogspot.co.uk/

We’re very excited to announce that we have been working arts organisations such as Broadway Baby and Total Theatre Magazine in our Critical Writing course.

The students are exploring the role of arts journalism and criticism in contemporary culture with tutor Dorothy Max Prior, editor of Total Theatre Magazine, critic and performer for over 30 years. Over the course of the Brighton Festival and Fringe 2017, they have been getting out and about seeing theatre, performance, art and music; and then meeting up to share experiences and muse on issues raised, all with the aim of writing their own reviews and features.

And the blog is hosting are some of their freshest results! Go have a look, enjoy, comment and join in, if you like – there’s so much fun to be had.

Best wishes

Want to propose a course or workshop? Our door is open.

The uniting thread of what we do at EA is a combination of ethics, process and enjoyment.  This could be very well encapsulated by one, sometimes overused, word - ‘mindfulness’.

In practice, we see our role as mediators between providers and the community at large: we aim to curate and celebrate the amazing resources both bring to the mix.

So, we want you to know that our door is open to your input.

It’s always a challenge to make ideas fly. Our programme is limited. But don’t let this deter you:  almost always, something positive arises from the act of dialogue.

If you like what we’re about and are passionate about what you can offer, why not fill out this questionnaire and contact us, either by email info@evolutionarts.org.uk or phone 01273 204204. Our door is open.
