Description of Class
*There will be a break on 28th October* Discover and Recover Your Creative Self: A 10-Week Journey with The Artist's Way “Without The Artist's Way, there would have been no Eat, Pray, Love.” —Elizabeth Gilbert Would you like to feel more creative? Are you feeling blocked or stuck? Do you sense there's more waiting to unfold? Join this 10-week journey inspired by Julia Cameron's classic book. This course is an invitation to gently reawaken your creativity — whether you're a seasoned artist or simply curious about living more imaginatively. You'll explore what holds you back and rediscover your creative flow with greater freedom, possibility and joy. It's suitable for anyone wishing to bring more creativity into daily life, from painting and writing to gardening, journalling, or playful living. What to Expect At the heart of this work are two simple, potentially life-changing practices: Morning Pages — three pages of longhand writing each morning to clear the mind and listen inwardly. Artist Dates — weekly solo adventures that nourish your imagination and sense of play. The more you engage with these between sessions, the deeper the process becomes. You don't have to do it perfectly — what matters is showing up with kindness and curiosity. Each group session begins with a guided meditation, poetry and imagery, followed by space for check-ins. We then explore creative exercises drawn from the book, working with themes such as recovering a sense of safety, identity and abundance, and reconnecting with your inner artist and inner child. Commitment and Community Committing to this process within a supportive group helps you stay connected and inspired. Together we create a safe space for creativity to unfold, with gentle accountability, encouragement and compassion for the weeks when life feels full. Practicalities You'll need a copy of The Artist's Way and time each day for Morning Pages, plus a weekly pocket of time for your Artist Date. Bella is an Integrative Therapist based in Brighton, trained at Re-Vision in London. She brings a soul-based approach to creativity, drawing on myth, fairy tale and ritual. "I found the course inspirational and would highly recommend it. The tasks, artist dates, walks and pages culminated in an outpouring of happiness and creativity for me. Bella set the tone and guided our group thoughtfully and kindly and we supported each other in the same way." Nicola
