Description of Class

Mindful Photography – A Creative Self Discovery Workshop Step away from the pressure of “getting the perfect shot” and rediscover photography as a deeply personal and meaningful practice. This 6-hour immersive workshop invites you to slow down, observe, and reconnect, not just with your surroundings, but with yourself. Whether you use a smartphone or a camera, this experience is not about technical perfection, but about presence, intuition, and creative self-expression. Through a series of guided exercises, reflective prompts, and gentle explorations, you will learn how to use photography as a tool for awareness, emotional expression, and personal insight. This workshop creates a supportive space where curiosity replaces judgment and creativity flows naturally. During the workshop, you will: • Explore how to see beyond the obvious and notice details with fresh eyes • Learn simple mindful techniques to quiet the mind and enhance your creativity • Use photography as a way to express emotions, thoughts, and inner experiences • Develop a more intuitive and personal approach to image-making • Reflect on your images to uncover meaning, patterns, and stories • Build confidence in your unique way of seeing No prior experience is needed, just an open mind and a willingness to explore. This workshop is ideal for anyone feeling creatively stuck, or simply curious to experience photography in a more meaningful and soulful way. Come as you are. Leave with a renewed sense of clarity, inspiration, and connection. Suitable for photography beginners and for both iPhone and Android users. Your tutor: Eva Kalpadaki was born in Greece. After she was awarded a Greek State Foundation scholarship she moved to UK to complete a PhD in Arts and Communication at UCA. She is a qualified teacher holding a PGCE teaching certificate from the University of Brighton. She is currently working as a fine art photographer and photography tutor.
