Internal Inspirit Qigong

Description of Class

Internal Inspirit Qigong is based on the ancient Internal Qigong Alchemy (Nei Dan), Transformational Qigong (Hua Qi Gong) and Medical Qigong (Yi Liao Qi Gong). This workshop will focus on the Fire Element which relates to the summer. In Internal Qigong it relates to our heart centre: our Authentic Self and its consciousness. Transformational Qigong: postures, sounds, and breathing and movement sequences, which increase the presence and flow of vital life energy (Qi) which, so harmonise, revitalise and invigorate our vitality, energy and body. Medical Qigong: forms, movements and breathwork will cleanse and circulate our energy which will help heal our physical and mental health. They not only help remedy conditions but also improve our overall wellness. It works on the system with the same principles as acupuncture does. Internal Qigong: meditations and attunements will tune us into our core reality of spiritual beingness, wholeness and wellness. Also, connect to the inner harmony, beauty, serenity, joy, and unity of our Heart. In Chinese philosophy and medicine, tuning into the Fire Element’s ‘heart spirit’ (Xin Shen), connects us to our true nature. This brings a sense of oneness with all existence and the Whole, often referred to as the Way (Dao). The workshop is suitable for all levels. Beginners are welcome. Please wear loose soft clothing. Your tutor: Amadis trained with Qigong teachers for over twenty years. Since the mid-eighties he has studied Transformational and Medical Qigong, Internal Alchemy, Classical Chinese Medicine and language, all of which inform his teaching. He has taught ‘Internal Inspirit Qigong’ since the 1990s and practices acupuncture in a community clinic in Brighton.
