Description of Class

Learn to give an Indian Head massage by understanding the history, benefits, effects and techniques involved. You will be taught a 20 minute routine in the workshop. This is a very practical workshop involving lots of giving & receiving. You’ll learn massage techniques to work on the top back, shoulders, neck, head & face. By working on the top four chakra's: -crown, brow, throat & heart - Indian Head massage is a deeply relaxing experience for the recipient. Discover more about these chakras and the different oils used on the workshop, along with the benefits and effects of the treatment, which benefit the whole body. What to wear:  Please wear loose comfy clothing.  If you have long hair, bring a hair band. Your tutor Yasmin has been practicing IHM since 2004. She also practices Reiki, Thai Yoga massage & ear acupuncture. She works at Anahata Health clinic and has been teaching workshops for 5 years. She has taught at Sussex Downs College & Varndean College and has completed private courses at Anahata. Yasmin has completed some counselling training and has a very person centred approach to working with clients. She has always been interested in natural/holistic approaches to health, and being Indian was brought up with these natural methods from childhood. At one time Yasmin had a period of ill health and found holistic massage and ear acupuncture a massive benefit in terms of getting better.
