Description of Class
Explore art journaling through the use of acrylic paint and mixed media, combining drawing, writing, collage, ink, and mark-making techniques. This practical, exploratory course focusses on layering, composition, colour, and style, using guided themes and short projects. Providing creative freedom and structure. Art journaling is used as a tool for experimentation, reflection, and visual storytelling. All levels are welcome. Some basic materials and visual references are provided. Personal materials and ideas are encouraged. Your tutor Amy is an Art and Wellbeing Practitioner and Workshop Leader with extensive experience delivering creative workshops and courses across education, cultural institutions, and community settings. Her background includes work with Channel 4, Sky Arts, the British Museum, the Royal Academy, and teaching visual arts within Further and Higher Education. She has designed and delivered courses that support both creative development and wellbeing.
