Description of Class

There is a concession available for this course for people: Under 25's, over 65's or in full time unemployment. About the course: Learn to move your hips to the sounds of the son and cha cha. Get a spring on your step learning the energising and sensual Samba. Immerse yourself in the richness of Afro-cuban and Afro-Brazilian dances and imagery. Move gracefully to the sounds of rumba and enjoy solo and partner dancing using the aesthetics of Tango. These four sessions will be bringing Latin influences to your door step. We will be travelling around South America keeping an eye on Africa and Spain, learning about different styles and having fun. In all the sessions you will learn the basic of the dances, some technique and some easy to follow choreography. No previous experience necessary; just come to learn something new and have some fun! The sessions will leave you both energised and rejuvenated! Suitable for all levels of dancing ability including complete beginners Your tutor Rosaria is an award winning dance artist, choreographer, movement director and university lecturer. As a choreographer and performer, she specializes in outdoor performances and mass movement choreographies. She has extensively worked in the UK and in International Festivals in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil and Cuba since 1999. (See Rosaria's tutor page for full bio).
