Description of Class
There is a concession available for this course for people: Under 25, over 65 or in full time unemployment. Concession price will be £22 Half way between the autumn equinox and winter solstice, Samhain is a time when nature is withdrawing from the physical world and the energy of death is present. This ceremony may be about a spiritual death- a part of you, or an old way of being. It could be about friends, relatives and ancestors no longer with us. And it could be about entering the deep healing sleep of winter. Come and welcome death and all its beautiful gifts in this Samhain ceremony at the time of the dark moon. The ceremony will begin with an energy clearing, some breathing and meditation to help us to arrive and relax. After invoking the qualities of the elements and the four directions we will take a drum journey for insight and guidance. After a short silent leg stretch lie back and experience the sounds of the Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gong and mantra. The ceremony will end with a period of silence to experience the effects of the practice. After the ceremony there will be the option to join a sharing circle. This is entirely optional, and you can see whether this feels right for you at the time. Your tutor Stevie has trained in various modalities including contemporary shamanism and sound therapy. He is a Buddhist, committed to the ongoing development of wisdom and compassion, and loves sharing this journey with others.
