Description of Class

There is a concession available for under 25's, over 65's or those in full time unemployment. Please note: there will be a break for half term on Wednesday 29 May Details of Course: Join Art Facilitator Heidi for engaging sessions where she guides participants through effective and varied creative projects. Discover your inherent creativity, while learning also how art can be a powerful tool to manage anxiety, low mood, and overwhelm. Each week will feature diverse projects and techniques, which can extend beyond the class, serving as practical mood relaxers. Sessions are informal, friendly, and relaxed and open to anyone – you do not need to have any art experience to join. Come and see first-hand how engaging in creative expression can contribute to your peace of mind. Materials: Please bring: Pencil HB, Rubber, Sharpener & Pritt Stick, scissors, wool, acrylics. A pack of further materials including paper, sketch book, watercolours, brush set and tissue paper will be provided and is included in the course price. Your tutor: With extensive experience in Arts and Health, Heidi brings compassion, fun and enthusiasm to her teaching. Heidi has a natural affinity for people and is a compassionate listener, providing participants with empathy and kindness as they explore their creativity. She brings a wealth of experience and understanding to her role as an art facilitator, having worked with diverse groups of people, including homeless individuals, refugees, NHS staff, SEN children and vulnerable adults. Beyond work, she finds joy in life’s small pleasures.
