Creative Writing

Tutor: Gary Mepsted
Writing in any form – novel, play, short story – can be a lonely business. This course offers a stimulating, supportive and fun environment in which to share your ideas and receive guidance and feedback on your work. As well as weekly creative writing exercises, a core component of the course is the Creative Project (short story, 30-minute stage play, etc), which allows students to begin and, more importantly, complete a longer piece of writing. Students will be set tasks to complete between Mondays and will bring their work in for discussion. If you’re looking for an antidote to that feeling of writing in a vacuum, this is the course for you! Please note: there is no writing in class.
