Cars, Parking, Buses, Bicycles

Please note that during the daytime parking near the Evolution Centre is increasingly difficult. The nearest car park is in Regency Square. There are also a limited number of 2-hour pay-and-display bays in Oriental place and Montpelier Road.
Bus services to this part of town, however, are very frequent and also, of course, more environmentally friendly.
There is limited provision for locking up bicycles directly outside the centre but there are bicycle racks on the Western Road not far away. We recommend that you don't leave your bike locked only to itself as there have been thefts in the past.

Coming from out of town

Evolution Arts & Health, 2 Sillwood Terrace (see map above for precise location). Note that Sillwood Terrace is a pedestrian walk-way near the top of Sillwood Road, running behind the shops on Western Road.

It is recommended that you travel to Brighton by train or bus, as parking in the vicinity of Evolution is increasingly difficult. If you need to drive, it is best to park either in the Regency Square car park, just off the sea front, or park in Hove and get one of the many buses travelling along the Western Road towards Churchill Square. Get off at Waitrose, cross the road and walk a few yards in the direction of Churchill Square until you come to Sillwood Road on your right. Walk down Sillwood Road for a few yards and you come to Sillwood Terrace, a pedestrian walkway. We are at number 2, the second building on the right.

Arriving in Brighton by Train

Evolution is about 20 minutes walk from Brighton railway station. From the railway station itself, go straight out of the main entrance and continue to walk straight down along Queens Road until you reach the “Clock Tower” junction.

At this junction turn right and immediately bear left along Western Road (past the Churchill Square shopping centre). Western Road is the main shopping high street. Keep going along Western Road until you pass a NatWest bank on the left-hand side. Turn left just after the NatWest bank into Sillwood Road. A few yards down Sillwood Road turn right into Sillwood Terrace, which is a pedestrian walkway running behind the shops. We are at number 2, the second building on the right.

Arriving in Brighton by Bus

Evolution is about 20 minutes walk from the main (Pool Valley) bus station.

From there, ask for directions to North Street (not North Road) which is a large shopping street off the Old Steine (the bottom of North Street is actually called Castle Square).

Go up North Street past the Clock Tower and bear left into Western Road (past Churchill Square shopping centre). Western Road is the main shopping high street. Keep going along Western Road until you pass a NatWest bank on the left-hand side. Turn left just after the NatWest bank into Sillwood Road. A few yards down Sillwood Road turn right into Sillwood Terrace which is a pedestrian alleyway running behind the shops. We are at number 2, the second building on the right.

Driving into Brighton

If you are driving in from London or Lewes, head for the centre of town and the sea-front. When you arrive at the sea-front (opposite the Brighton Pier) turn right at the roundabout, along the sea-front. There are various car parks in the area, the nearest one to Evolution is in Regency square. Otherwise, turn up Oriental Place, just past the Kings Hotel. At the top of Oriental Place turn right into Sillwood Street. Turn left up Sillwood Road. Evolution is situated at 2 Sillwood Terrace, which is a pedestrian walkway on the left, near the top of Sillwood Road. We are at number 2, the second building on the right.
