On this course, work towards creating a classic hand-stitched waistcoat or jacket, discovering along the way superb techniques for fit and flamboyance. Sandra will share ‘tricks of the trade’ and demonstrate how to achieve a professional finish to every garment.
About the tutor
Sandra has extensive experience in professional tailoring and costume making. She worked for many years at Glyndebourne Opera and a number of notable costume houses in London.

- An OPEN ENDED thimble to fit middle finger
- A brass ended tape measure
- A piece of tailors chalk
- A penknife (optional at this stage)
- A smallish sharp pair of scissors
- A box of 'fine'ish pins
- A reel of basting cotton
- Betweens needles
