Inventing the Truth: Creative Non-Fiction - Stage 2

Tutor: Dorothy Max Prior
Location: Evolution Arts, 2 Sillwood Terrace, Brighton BN1 2LR
Next date: 12 March 2019

This six-week practical workshop for writers of true-life stories will explore the many and various forms of creative non-fiction writing, including memoir, biography, travel writing, and cultural commentary. The course takes as its starting point the notion that non-fiction writing is just as creative a process for the writer as forms such as fiction, drama and poetry. Individual tutorials and group feedback on writing will be an integral part of the course, which aims to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for everyone participating.

This follow-on course is open to participants who have completed Dorothy Max’s Inventing the Truth Course, or to others with some writing experience who have a project they have started on, or would like to start on – be that a non-fiction book on any subject, a fictionalised autobiography, a blog, or a series of articles or short stories.
