What does this workshop cover?
Deepen your connection with nature. Deepen your connection to your body.
We will begin outdoors, taking time to be present in the beautiful natural environment of Brighton Seafront in summer, noticing what’s around us, using all our senses. Then we’ll take our inspiration to the Evolution Arts dance studio to dance and create with a group of like minded people.
This is an open workshop for everyone to explore, create and connect in a fun and friendly environment.
Meeting point: Brighton/Hove Sea Front
Finish location: Evolution Arts Studio
About the tutor
Elise is a Community Dance Artist and Producer based in Brighton. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma: Community Dance and BA (Hons) Psychology. Elise trained in contemporary dance at Laban Conservatoire of Dance and began Tribal Fusion training in 2008.
Elise regularly delivers dance classes and projects in community settings, with everyone from hobbyists to professionals, hard to reach young people to older adults with dementia. She is particularly interested in ways we can deepen our relationship with our bodies as well as the environment we live in. We all have bodies and exist in a place, yet we don’t often make time to consider how they feel or what they mean to us.
