Life Drawing
Tutor: Julian Vilarrubi / Julian Le Bas / Wendy Barratt
During this course, you’ll develop skills such as using line, creating tone, looking at shape, pattern and rhythm. Exercises will be structured around observing the human figure to challenge and stimulate your drawing. The course is suitable for all levels, including beginners. The workshop is best suited to those with some experience and will begin with experimental drawing and short poses, and lead to long poses.
Cost includes model fees. Please bring a range of pencils, charcoal and a rubber. Cartridge paper is availalbe at 20p/sheet, Plain Newsprint at 5p/sheet, or bring your own. Studio easels are available at the Sussex County Arts Club and table easels at Evolution.

About the tutors
Julian Vilarrubi completed a Post Graduate Diploma at the Royal Academy. He has many years’ experience teaching a range of students, including the Arts Foundation course at the University of Brighton. Find out more at www.julianvilarrubi.com.
Julian Le Bas trained at Hertfordshire College of Art & Design, Brighton Polytechnic and Cyprus College of Art. He has more than 20 years’ experience teaching, including at Sussex and Brighton Universities.
Wendy Barratt has worked as a graphic designer and drawing tutor since she graduated with an arts degree in the mid-Eighties. Her work has always had a strong background of drawing.
