Learning to Draw
Tutor: Bern O’Donoghue / Wendy Barratt / Amy Alderson
A course for both beginners and those who want to improve their drawing skills. You will be taught how to really ‘see’ what you are looking at and how to record what you see on paper, alongside exercises that will encourage you to be more experimental with observation, ideas and use of media. Please bring charcoal, pencils and a rubber to the first session. Paper is available for a small charge.
About the tutor
Bern is an artist educator whose main studio practice is painting and drawing. She teaches at arts organisations across London and the South East.
Wendy has worked as a graphic designer and drawing tutor since she graduated with an arts degree in the mid-Eighties. Her work has always had a strong background of drawing.
Amy trained at Camden School of Art, St Martins, and Brighton University in Visual & Performing Arts. She works as a freelance artist – exhibitions include the ICA – and in 2010, she worked as the key artist on two film productions
