Landscape Painting on Devil's Dyke

Tutor: Julian La Bas
Enjoy a day on Devil’s Dyke, the historic beauty spot on the South Downs Way named after the dry valley that carves its way through ridges of rolling chalk grassland. This workshop will tackle working directly from and responding to our surroundings. Students will need to be prepared to do a bit of walking so lightweight equipment and a folding chair or camping stool are essential. All levels are welcome. Devil’s Dyke is five miles north of Brighton and there are hourly buses (No. 77). Full directions to the meeting point and a materials list will be provided. Note: The workshop may be subject to cancellation in bad weather.
