Hula Hoop

Build core strength and cardio fitness as you learn how to spin a hula hoop on your body and in your hands. Whether you’re after a fun workout, a new circus skill to show off at festivals, a way to de-stress, or something extra to add to your dance routine, hooping has got something for everyone. The course and workshop are suitable for all ages, no experience necessary. Places are limited so get in quick! Hoops provided, and available to order.

About the tutor

Jo (pictured right top) completed her teacher training in 2007 and is a certified Hoop Empire teacher. She was originally trained in a hybrid-hoop style, which combines traditional Russian and Chinese circus hula with the fluid hoop dance of the US. Jo believes hooping can build core strength and cardio fitness, while calming and focusing the mind. Image: Ben Sanders

Chi Chi (pictured right), a circus artist since the age of three, has been working with Fred’s Flying Circus for the past six years.
