Full Mask Theatre in Performance
Tutor: Tigger Blaize
Location: Evolution Arts, 2 Sillwood Terrace, Brighton BN1 2LR
Next date: Sunday workshop, 23 April 2017
Discover the art of performing in full mask on this one day workshop. Together we will unlock the secrets of non-verbal communication and acquire the principles of full mask work, using an array of beautifully handmade masks. The format will be a masterclass set up, alternating between watching and learning from others and actively exploring for yourself. In the afternoon we will work on presenting scenes in small groups.
Masks can take away the fear and anxiety of performing in front of an audience, being anonymous can spark confidence and allow you to fully explore a character. Confident performers will be surprised how much further they are able to transform!
