Do you already have some experience of painting or drawing? Or have you completed our Acrylic Painting course? This course offers the benefit of being mentored by Amy, encouraging you to explore your ideas. It will be structured to cover a number of themes, including the human form, abstract painting, experimenting with techniques and combining other media, such as charcoal, pastel and ink. You are encouraged to keep a journal and finalise your ideas onto canvas.

About the tutor
Amy trained at Camden School of Art and Saint Martins, finally graduating at Brighton University in Visual and Performing Arts in 2000. Amy now works as a freelance artist; exhibitions include the ICA and The Princess Gallery. She is currently featured on the Saatchi Gallery website.

Acrylic paint in cools and warms of the three primary colours, for example:
• crimson red
• cadmium red
• ultramarine blue
• cobalt blue
• cadmium yellow
• lemon yellow
• white
• burnt umber
• soft pencil
• charcoal
• scrap book
• A5 sketchbook
• good quality acrylic brushes in various sizes
• 1 canvas
