Discover the human form

Learn to draw a whole range of poses, from quick and dynamic, slow and considered to totally wild and free! You will develop skills such as using line, creating tone, looking at shape, pattern and rhythm. Exercises will be structured around observing the human figure to challenge and stimulate your drawing. Suitable for beginners and the more experienced. Please bring a range of pencils, charcoal and rubber. Paper is available for a small charge.

About the tutors

Julian completed a Post Graduate Diploma at the Royal Academy. He has many years’ experience teaching a range of students, including the Arts Foundation course at the University of Brighton. Find out more at www.julianvilarrubi.com.

Bern graduated as a textile designer but has spent most of her career working as a fine artist. She currently works in 2D mixed media, teaches, and illustrates children’s books.

Wendy has worked as a graphic designer and drawing tutor since she graduated with an arts degree in the mid-eighties. Her work has always had a strong background of drawing. See her work at www.wendybarratt.com
