Create you own comic strip
This is a drawing-based course focusing on imagination and observation. Ottilie guides you through a series of exercises designed to connect mind and hand. You will work on developing characters and plot, while experimenting with different picture-making techniques. At the end of the course you will have produced one large-scale comic strip or several smaller strips.
About the tutor
Ottilie (M.A. R.C.A) is an artist and illustrator who makes and exhibits limited edition books and pictures in a wide range of media. Lead pencils, including 7B/8B
Rubber
Sharpener
Scissors
Pritt stick
Black pens- thin and thick, various types.
Paint Brushes- size1 and up.
Black drawing ink
Dip pen holder + nib- not a calligraphy nib but a pointy drawing one and a spare.
A4/ A3 Cartridge Paper- heavy weight e.g.200-220g/m
Journal/ sketch book- comfy size to carry around.
Tippex
Black & white oil pastels- Single, don’t buy a whole box.
Piece of compressed charcoal
Apron or old shirt
