Connect with your ancestors
Ancestors play an active role in the daily lives of some cultures, but in our own Western culture many of us lack spiritual direction, with no connection to those who have gone before us. Through the work of German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger we can see that the actions of our ancestors and past traumatic events have a significant effect on our lives in the present. In this workshop, individuals will have an opportunity to bring an issue connected with themselves or a member of their family and “set it up” to see what happens. Through others in the group representing members of our family, we can uncover some of the dynamics operating in our families which keep the love from flowing and leave us “out of sorts”, or with other problems like addictions or mental illness. Over a weekend Barbara aims to do approximately eight personal constellations. Priority will be given to the first eight bookings, but the emphasis of the weekend is on each and every constellation being for everyone. There will be many opportunities to be representatives in other people’s constellations which can be as rewarding and sometimes more rewarding than doing our own constellation.
About the tutor
Barbara Morgan is a UKCP reg. Gestalt Psychotherapist and Family Constellations Trainer, Supervisor and Practitioner working in private practice.
