Christmas Wreaths – NEW!
Tutor: Nadia The festive season has arrived and nature’s delights are in full bloom ready to be put to decorative purposes. Scented blue pine, aromatic cinnamon sticks, dried walnuts and sweet raisins are just some of the organic materials we will be exploring in this floral Master Class. No experience needed. Come along and have fun learning a few floral tricks of the trade. What a wonderful conversation piece to welcome friends and family over the festive period: a beautiful wreath designed by you.
About the tutor: Nadia studied Theatre Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design. She has designed sets and costumes for various theatres and also worked as a florist (www.tunbridgewellsflorist.com).
Boho Christmas Decoratons – NEW!
Tutor: Tara Boho deocrations will make exquisite gifts, especially if you’re stuck for ideas! Hand made and hand embroidered they’ll impress whilst being surprisingly easy to make. You’ll learn a variety of embroidery stitches and have a fun and relaxing afternoon. Materials included.
About the tutor: Tara is an experienced and friendly teacher, and is looking forward to meeting you and spending a fun day together.
Boxes & Baubles
Tutor: Claire This festive workshop will include how to make Christmas cards, tags, gift boxes, perfumed felt shaped decorations for the tree and baubles from bits and bobs around the house. Claire will demonstrate techniques and show each individual how to achieve their aims. This is for all abilities and students can choose what they want to make! Material required; see list below.
About the tutor: Claire is a Sussex-based artist with more than 27 years’ experience. A graduate of The Surrey Institute of Art & Design, she has successfully exhibited across the UK for many years, and has taught both adults and children in schools, colleges, art societies and art institutions. CHRISTMAS CARDS/TAGS • Scrap Paper (old magazines, wall paper scraps) • Scrap fabric (old clothes, off cuts, patch work scraps – source at charity shops, craft shops or bargain bins in fabric shops) • Sequins, trimming • Scissors, pencil, glitter pens • Coloured paper • 200gsm white card • PVA glue • Christmas objects eg. Cones/dried leaves and anything else you can think of!! “
CRACKER” GIFTBOXES • Variety of ribbons • Cardboard loo roll centres (4-6) • Copydex • Scrap Paper (old magazines, wall paper scraps) • Scrap fabric (old clothes, off cuts, patch work scraps – source at charity shops, craft shops or bargain bins in fabric shops) • Sequins, trimming • Scissors • Christmas objects eg. Cones/dried leaves and anything else you can think of!!
